Givelify You can download the free Givelify app (locate First Baptist Church of Salisbury) on your smartphone or tablet to give your tithes and offerings. Anywhere! Anytime! If you do not wish to download the app, you can access Givelify here. Simply click Givelify above.
Text to Give You can give by texting ‘Give $Amount’ (Ex. Give $50) to 410-847-7725. Cash App You can give by using $fbcsbymd1.
Mail You can mail your tithes and offerings to First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1738, Salisbury, MD 21802 or drop-off your tithes and offerings at the Church Office, using the mail slot located in the vestibule of the Family Life & Cultural Center, Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 9 to 10 a.m. If you are using a long envelope, please be sure to fold it in half before dropping it into the mail slot.
What is a tithe and how is it different from an offering? The word, “tithe” literally means tenth or 10%. A tithe is the first 10% of your income. An offering is anything you give above and beyond the 10%.
Why do we tithe? The Bible says that the purpose of tithing is to teach you to always fear God and put God first in your life (Deuteronomy 14:23). Tithing is a reminder that God is the supplier of everything we have. It is also God’s personal invitation to an outpouring of his blessing in your life (Malachi 3:10 & Luke 6:38).
Become a Covenant Partner today! Give a minimum of $10 or your best offering each week. Encourage your family and friends to do the same and receive 25% off the cost of the use of the Family Life & Cultural Center for your next event. Call or visit the Church Office for more information.
