Deaf and Hearing Impaired

An American sign language interpreter is available every Sunday at the 9:30 a.m. worship service.
 
 

Parking and Handicapped Accessibility

There is ample parking for worshipers in the church parking lot. There is also handicapped parking and accessibility near the main sanctuary and Family Life and Cultural Center entrances.
 
 

Bible Classes for All Ages

Youth and Adult Sunday School is held every Sunday at 8:45 a.m. Bible Study is held every Wednesday (Except 1st) at 7 p.m. Women's Ministry is held the 4th Thursday at 6 p.m. and Men's Ministry is held the 4th Saturday at 8 a.m. If you prefer an intimate fellowship, Discipleship Study Class is held every Tuesday at 6 p.m. 
 
 

Children’s Nursery

The Children's Nursery is available every Sunday for infants through age 5. We are currently in need of additional adult volunteers to assist in the nursery. If you are interested in assisting us, please contact us.
 
 

Music

At First Baptist, you will experience traditional and contemporary gospel, hymns and praise. Feel free to join in song or dance. If you believe God has called you to serve and praise through song and/or dance, consider joining one of our ensembles: Anointed Voices of Praise (Youth and Young Adult Choir), Hearts of Angels (Children's Choir), Male Chorus (Male Choir), Praise Team (Youth and Adult), United Disciples of Victory (Adult Choir), Women of Distinction (Women's Choir), Expressions of Praise (Children Dancers), Praise Crew (Teenage Dancers), Vessels of Worship (Young Adult Dancers), Men of Valor (Male Mimers), Women of Worship (Adult Dancers). On annual days and other occasions, the choirs combine to form a Mass Choir. Our dancers combine on some occasions too.
 
 

Prayer

Intercessory Prayer is held every Wednesday at 6 p.m. All services begin and end with prayer. Altar call takes place towards the end of most services. The Prayer Ministry meets the 2nd and 4th Wednesday at 12 p.m. Additionally, the ministerial staff and diaconate members are assigned to visit, distribute communion to and anoint the sick and shut-in, and pray for and with them and others as needed.
 
 

Giving

First Baptist is operated through tithes and offerings. We provide several different ways for you to give. You may give at services, by mail, online, or by using the 'Givelify' app. For more information or to give online, please click here.
 
 

Outreach

The Shepherd's Table (currently on summer break - will resume September 2017) is open every Monday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Lewis N. Watson Auditorium. Persons are welcome to come and receive a free hot meal. The Free Food Giveaway is held the 3rd Wednesday of every month from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Manna House. All Wicomico County residents, with a form of identification, are welcome. This is a federally funded assisted program in which no one is discriminated against due to race, color, national origin, age, sex, or disability.
